STARWOOD XXVIII - 2008
(Or The 2nd Anniversary of Starwood XVIII to whoever caught the typo on the program this year, lol.)
So . . . The largest and most popular Magical/Pagan Gathering in North America, if not the most ecclectic Pagan festival in the world.
Between the classes and workshops, the rituals, the bonfire, the freedom to be skyclad in the open as you choose, the positive atmosphere, and the 24 hour drumming roar of the round house it's easy to see why this festival atracts so many people from so many faiths.
My question to readers . . . Where were you? What was your favorite part of Starwood? Where did you spend the most time? Anything you disliked? Did you have a favorite class? Did you make some new friends? Did you opt for only Sirius Rising this year? Or Both?
Tell us about your Starwood experience!!!!
I spent most of my time with the rest of my grove and other ADF members, too bad Wednesday night ritual was cancelled due to the rain, but I perhaps that was a good sign considering there was an 8 foot fire altar constructed and dedicated to Tyrannus over the two week span of Sirius and Starwood. Of course I also did drumming and helped with childrens activities. And of course it all added up to the big finale . . . the Saturday Night Bonfire! Did anyone else get pictures of what looked like a praying fire? Or the head of our dearly departed friend Chaz himself? Along with the wonderful set of bands and entertainment playing thruought the week, one hell of a week ^__~. How did you spend yours?
I am curious to know though, who attended the Chocolate Ritual Thursday night, to the best of my efforts to stay awake and make it I ended up crashing out before Midnight since I had to run childrens activities in the morning.
